Election and Voter Information
Mountain House Community Services District elects two to three new board members every 2 years. Elections are held in November on the first Tuesday after a Monday.
July 14th - Registration begins, August 8th - Registration window closes.
Residents interested in serving on the Board of Directors must register at the County Registrar of Voters office in San Joaquin.
Term Board Members are elected for 4 year terms.
Qualifications Board members must be:
- 18 years or older
- Permanent residents inside MHCSD boundaries
- A registered voter
County Board of Supervisors District Directors are elected "At Large". There is no requirement that a director resides in a particular "district" of Mountain House.

For political signs in Mountain House (residential annexed properties): “Temporary posting of political signs not exceeding three (3) square feet may be located in the front yard of any improved lot or the window of any project unit. Such signs may be erected thirty (30) days prior to any appropriate political election and must be removed twenty-four (24) hours after the political election”.
For political signs in the county or private properties outside of MHCSD’s annexed areas, the county has only one written requirement as follows: “Removal of Political Signs. Political signs shall be removed within thirty (30) days following the conclusion of an election”. However, in discussion with County staff, they allow political signs to be posted 60-days prior to the election.
