Residents in Wicklund Village can purchase a locking mailbox from the Approved Mailbox List.
Mountain House is an unincorporated area of San Joaquin County with roughly 5,000 homes and 17,000 residents as of 2016. Residents must use the neighboring City of Tracy Post Office for full postal services. Mountain House is currently working with the United States Postal Service to obtain a zip code and a post office in Mountain House.
Except for Wicklund Village, the picture below is specific to the cluster box requirements within Mountain House. Per the Master Restrictions section 4.05, Paragraph R, the MHCSD Review Entity has the authority to approve alteration to mailboxes.
Mail Boxes. Mailboxes installed as part of the original construction of a house shall be maintained in good condition and replaced as necessary by the Owner of the Lot or Lots served by the mailbox, and shall not be altered in design or color unless approved by the Review Entity.
Periodically changes have been or will be made to the model of a mailbox; homeowners are still able to use locking versions of mailboxes that are similar in design and relative size. The cost of repair or replacement is the responsibility of the owner of the mailbox.
No changes to the new style “cluster boxes” can be made except for damage repair or individual lock changes, which would be requested via the USPS postmaster.
